Kate Gosselin: Is She Losing It?

Kate Gosselin is back in the headlines and she seemed a little desperate.  The reality TV mom aired the family laundry (again) on the Today show and in PEOPLE magazine but her latest media blitz seemed over-the-top!

Gosselin admits that daughter Alexis and son Collin have “anger issues,” but Kate is quick to point out that reality T.V. is good for her kids!  The mom of eight went on the Today show Wednesday to put her spin on why her kids were NOT expelled from school.  According to Kate, she and the school “mutually agreed” on the decision to home school.  But WHY would Kate make such a big deal about school situation with Alexis and Collin?  Wouldn’t it be best to just let the gossip die down and concentrate on the children?

In August and September, Gosselin left a 19-year-old nanny in charge of all eight children while she flew to LA to attend The Emmys and then she jetted off to Cabo for a photo shoot.  According to RadarOnline, the teen nanny quit shortly after Kate returned.

During her Today appearance, Kate confessed she has forgiven her Jon Gosselin. But the mom of eight looked a little bitter to me! Go to our video clip of Kate’s interview on the Today show, then tell me what you think.

Is the US a World Cup host?

The long-awaited announcement about who will host the World Cup in 2018 and 2022 is finally here.

Countries lobbied for the honor, sending in their celebrities and reassuring the committee that their countries would make the Fifa World Cup be an event to remember.

The US was feeling confident in their bid to host the 2022 World Cup finals. Were they right? Will the games be in the US?

The 2018 host announcement came first, of course. England was the favorite. But, it seems that they got knocked out due to rumors of corruption. Or so the gossips say, anyway.

So, the host of the World Cup 2018, as decided by the committe is…. Russia.

The winner to host the 2022 games is Qatar! What an upset for the US!!!! Quata is the tiniest nation to ever submit a bid, so this is definitely a surprise.

This morning, at 10am ET, the announcement will be made about who will host the World Cup in 2018 and 2022.

Will the favorites prevail or will we be surprised by who is selected to host the World Cup finals? The US is definitely a contender for 2022. Like other countries, they sent celebrities to help them in their bid. They sent former President Bill Clinton and legend Morgan Freeman.

Which country will be the most convincing? England with their royalty Prince William and their recognizable soccer star David Beckham? Or Australia with their glamorous celebs like Nicole Kidman and Elle Macpherson?

Though, with the exception of David Beckham, what they have to do with sports is questionable. But, who hosts the World Cup in 2018 and 2022 is more of a political decision anyway, with the chosen nations reaping the rewards of having everyone’s eye on them during the games, plus the income that the games generate.

Angelina Jolie Defends Film Against Bosnian Rape Critics

Angelina Jolie has responded to Women Victims of War, a group of Bosnian war rape survivors that spoke out against her directorial debut film about a controversial love story that takes place during the region's 1990's-era war.

While promoting her new film with Jonny Depp, 'The Tourist,' in Paris, Jolie said that the criticism is very limited.

"There's one person who has a gripe. The absolute majority of the people, population, the cast, prime minister, president have been extremely supportive," she said, according to news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20101202/film_nm/us_bosnia_jolie" target="_hplink">Reuters.

In an effort to sell the film's authenticity, she noted that 95% of the cast were survivors of a war between Serbs and Bosnians that claimed 100,000 lives.

Prayer Vigil Held For Aretha Franklin

DETROIT — A community prayer vigil has been held in Detroit for Aretha Franklin, a day before organizers say the singing legend is to undergo a medical procedure.

City Councilwoman JoAnn Watson and others gathered downtown Wednesday to pray for Franklin. Last month, the 68-year-old singer announced she was canceling all concert dates and personal appearances through May on the orders of her doctors.

Franklin wasn't at the vigil, but in a statement she thanked the City Council, saying "all prayers are good."

A news release announcing the vigil says Franklin's medical procedure is scheduled for Thursday. A message seeking comment was left with Franklin's publicist, Tracey Jordan.

Reese Witherspoon received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Wednesday, and she brought along daughter Ava, 11, son Deacon, 7, and boyfriend Jim Toth (not pictured). The kids' dad is Ryan Phillipe, whom she divorced in 2006.

Reese recently told Glamour she would love to have more kids.
