Comcast Outage

Comcast’s cable Internet service encountered problems causing users from U.S. east coast cities unable to access the Internet.

According to Doreen Vigue, Boston-based spokeswoman for Comcast, the company’s engineers are aggressively working to fix the problem. Comcast is considered as the largest cable operator, as well as Internet service provider in the U.S. Providing cable television service, telephone service, and broadband Internet to both residential and commercial customers in 39 states.

Meanwhile, numerous Twitter postings point that a Domain Name System (DNS) server problem was the problem that occurred.

DNS converts human-friendly Internet address like “www.seedol.com” into a numeric Internet address. "Our engineers are working very aggressively to fix the problem," said Doreen Vigue, a Boston-based spokeswoman for Comcast. Twitter postings point to a DNS (domain name system) server problem.

DNS is the system that converts human-friendly Internet address like "www.pcworld.com" into a numeric Internet address, which are vital to Internet communications. If the DNS servers go down there's no way for a user's PC to address data correctly and so communication stops.

It appears that the little girl in this movie is so sick that we surely can feel how tragic her life must have been. Sam Elliot plays as the farmer that has his own family problem with his wife that was played by Karren Allen. Elliot grows pumpkins and Christmas tree to sell. “November Christmas” is surely one movie that you don’t want to miss.

Michael Douglas: Feeling "Stronger," Preparing for New Movie

Michael Douglas is not cancer-free just yet.

But the Oscar-winning actor, who was diagnosed in August, tells People he feels "stronger everyday," as he continues to undergo treatment, recognizing: "It's a long road back."

Part of that road involves prepping for his next role. The 66-year old will take the title role in Liberace, a biopic directed by Steven Soderbergh.

"I've got a bunch of tapes of performances," he said of the real-life character. "I'm thinking; I'm a blank slate. Everything shows me he was a lovely man; I just want to reconfirm that."

The movie stars shooting this spring, which should give Douglas plenty more time to spend with his family. He spent Thanksgiving weekend with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their kids at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando.

Bosnian Protesters Decry "Ignorant" Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie has become the target of more criticism, this time regarding her feature directorial debut, not just her hatred of Thanksgiving.

A love story set during the Bosnian War, her film was cut short after rumors that it portrayed a relationship between a rapist and his victim.

The project has sparked protests and was called "ignorant" by a group of women who were victims of sexual violence during the 1990s war.

In a letter to the United Nations refugee agency, for which the movie star is a goodwill ambassador, the Women Victims of War criticized her sharply.

They say they are "deeply concerned about the movie."

"Angelina Jolie's ignorant attitude towards victims says enough about the scenario and gives us the right to continue having doubts," the letter read.

After rumors of the rapist story line surfaced in October, a group of Bosnian War rape victims pressured officials to withdraw Jolie's filming permit.

The rumors proved to be untrue.

The country's minister of culture read the script - about a Bosnian woman who falls in love with a Serb man - and Jolie's permit was reinstated.

However, Jolie earlier this month cut the shooting schedule from 10 days to three and decided to film some of the scenes in Hungary instead.

At the time, Jolie said she wanted to meet with the groups that complained to clear up any misunderstanding, but no meeting ever transpired.

"We have insisted to meet Angelina Jolie since we don't want to be wrongly presented in the world ... Our voices are worthwhile and we should have got much more respect," the WVW letter read. "Angelina has made a big mistake."

"We feel that she did not act like a real UNHCR ambassador and we believe that she has no more credibility to remain the ambassador."

Glee Does Sectionals – Top Lines From Tonight’s Glee!

We joke about boys reading Playboy for the articles. Is letting them watch the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2010 for the musical performances any different? Watching the models strut, nay bounce, down the runway, I was struck by two thoughts: 1) I’m sure glad my son is in the girl-hating stage right now; and 2) if he was a teenager, would I let him watch the video below?

I’m leaning toward a big old no on the latter. There’s not much left to the imagination here, and while I know that kids today see a lot more skin than they did in my youth, when flannels and jeans were “in” rather than midriff-skimming tops, I’m surprised CBS can get this stuff past the censors. When did broadcast become Skinemax?

Lindsay Lohan: Free For a Day

Oh well. Maybe that'll come after she completes her stint in rehab, which has been going on for two months-plus and seems to be working wonders.

A scandalous internet rumor began floating around earlier this month about a Harry Potter star fathering a love child. But many asked themselves which star could it be?

Seven famous Brits — Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Oliver and James Phelps, Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman — appear on a Potter-themed postcard that was apparently mailed to postsecret.com, the U.S.-based website run by author Frank Warren, who simply invites readers to send in anonymous postcards confessing a secret. And the sender clearly wanted to get a shocking secret off her chest.

“One of these men is the father of the most amazing little girl in the world,” says the unsigned message scrawled on the postcard. “He’s never met her. He never will. He probably can’t even remember my name.”

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has tweeted his reaction: “My friend just found this on the web! Just to confirm that I can be canceled out of this equation LOL!”

The Phelps twins have also denied the allegation.

The remaining stars, Alan Rickman, 64, Jason Isaacs, 47, Rupert Grint, 22, and Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, 21, have yet to respond.
